Valerio Longo
Born in Rome, Valerio Longo trained at the Liceo Coreutico in Turin. After graduating, he worked as a soloist in the Danza Prospettiva company of Vittorio Biagi and, subsequently, in the Balletto di Toscana directed by Cristina Bozzolini. In 2001 he joined the Aterballetto company under the direction of Mauro Bigonzetti (until 2008), Cristina Bozzolini (until 2017), Pompea Santoro, Gigi Cristoforetti (until 2018). He performed the leading roles from the entire company repertory and the original creations of Mauro Bigonzetti, Jiří Kylián, William Forsythe, Jacopo Godani, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger and many others. From 2004 he began an important creative path as a choreographer starting from Aterballetto to arrive in October 2020 to be appointed assistant artistic director associate choreographer of the Balletto di Roma and coordinator of the CAP – Professional Start-up Course of the same institution.
