Elek Tibor Zsolt

Born in 1971 in Hungary, Elek Tibor Zsolt studied at the Hungarian Dance Academy, and graduated as a ballet dancer in 1991. He started his career at the Ballet Company of the Hungarian State Opera House and from 1993 to 1996 he was engaged at the Wiener Volksoper in Austria. In 1997 he moved to Italy, where he soon became a soloist with the Astra Roma Ballet and then with the Balleto di Roma. In Italy he became also one of the founders and main teacher of the Centro Culturale Ballet School. In 2005, he joined Győr National Theatre and worked as a ballet master at the Győr School of Dance and Fine Arts, and since 2012 as the school’s head of practical training. In 2008 he founded the Ballet School in Komarno, in Slovakia. In 2013, he graduated from the Hungarian Dance Academy with a Master in Classical Ballet pedagogy. Since 2016 he holds position of the teacher and ballet master at the Ballet Academy of the Vienna State Opera. He has represented the Academy as a jury member at numerous ballet competitions and has taught ballet courses as a guest ballet master for the Miskolc Ballet and Győr Ballet. As a guest ballet master he participated in the summer course in Slovenia, and in ballet courses organized by the National Dance Foundation from Belgrade in Greece and in Serbia.
