Paolo Mangiola

Paolo Mangiola is a choreographer, dance educator and movement coach, working with ballet and contemporary dance practices. He was dancer with Random Dance / Wayne MacGregor in London and Aterballetto in Reggio Emilia, performing with both companies on most prestigious stages around the world. He created works for the Royal Ballet, Aterballetto and Balletto di Roma. His choreographies have been performed in theatres and in art galleries in Norway, UK, USA, Germany, Italy and Serbia, and have been broadcasted worldwide from the platform Nowness. He has curated the contemporary dance department at the Ballet School in Rome. He was a guest teacher of choreography and dance history at the University of Malta and a full time teacher of choreography at the English National Ballet School in London. In 2014 he was appointed associate choreographer at Balletto di Roma, and in 2017 he has been appointed Artistic Director of the National Dance Company of Malta, where he is currently in his second term.
