Elisabetta Ceron

Elisabetta Ceron trained in France at the Centre International de Danse Rosella Hightower in Cannes, in Portugal at Anna Mascolo’s Estúdio-Escola de Dança Clássica and in the Principality of Monaco at Académie de Danse Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo under the direction of Marika Besobrasova.
After graduating from the National Academy of Dance in Rome with a thesis on the History of Dan-ce, she began her journalistic activity in 1998 as a dance critic for the daily newspaper Messaggero Veneto for the artistic performance/show section. For a short time she collaborated with the periodical Eutopie – tra scienza, immaginario e arte in Milan and since 2021 she has been working with the daily Il Piccolo.
In 1998 she was dance consultant for the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni da Udine under the direction of Re-nato Quaglia. In 2003, she published the book La propedeutica della danza with the assistance of Giu-liana Penzi, director of the National Academy of Dance in Rome. In 2007 she began her ongoing col-laboration as dance critic with Danza&Danza magazine, and later on with Danza&Danza International and for the website www.danzaedanza.com.
Since 2010, she has been a member of the jury of journalists of the Danza&Danza International Award.
Parallel to her journalistic activities, she works as a dance teacher, lecturer, juror, artistic director and organiser of galas and international projects including:
– Artistic Director of the International Dance Gala for the Italian Red Cross in Udine;
– Co-founder of the Festival Corpi Sensibili – theatre dance city in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Udine;
– Artistic director and creator of Moving Centuries – theoretical/practical masterclasses of dance histo-ry
– Artistic co-director and creator of WhatWeAre / International Dance Platform;
– Lecturer for the first European Maestro di Danza course organised by the Emilia Romagna Region and financed by the European Community;
– Lecturer for the Maestro di Danza 2 course, promoted by I.D.A. (International Dance Association) of Ravenna.
