Elisabetta Ceron

Elisabetta Ceron trained at the Rosella Hightower International Dance Centre in Cannes, at Anna Mascolo’s School of Classical Dance in Portugal and in the Dance Academy of Princess Grace in Monte Carlo under the direction of Marika Besobrasova. After graduating from the National Academy of Dance in Rome with a thesis on History of Dance, she began her journalistic activity in 1998 as a dance critic for the newspaper Messaggero Veneto. For a short time she collaborated with the periodical Eutopie – tra scienza, immaginario e arte in Milan and since 2021 she has been working with the daily Il Piccolo. In 1998 she was dance consultant for the Teatro Nuovo Giovanni in Udine under the direction of Renato Quaglia. In 2003, she published book Preparatory Dance with the assistance of Giuliana Penzi, director of the National Academy of Dance in Rome. In 2007 she began her ongoing collaboration as dance critic with Danza&Danza magazine. Since 2010, she has been a member of the jury of journalists of the Danza&Danza International Award. Parallel to her journalistic activities, she works as a dance teacher, lecturer, juror, artistic director and organiser of galas and international projects including the International Dance Gala for the Italian Red Cross in Udine, Festival Corpi Sensibili – theatre dance city in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Udine, Moving Centuries – theoretical/practical master classes of dance history, WhatWeAre / International Dance Platform, and many other important projects…
